Brief Introduction

If education is about anything important and authentic, it is creatively best when it keeps us adaptively responsive to reality. Unfortunately, for too long historically and too much fear-conditioning propaganda, “Humankind cannot bear very much reality,” as T. S. Eliot famously quipped. And for too long, across cultures and time, we have mis-labeled ourselves, hated ourselves and destroyed ourselves in many different ways—with our current global cascading crises today mirroring our basic out-of-touchness with reality.

TFC has its own perspective on human behavior, which can be summed up radically via a new philosophical and moral basis of reality: “We are not bad, we are afraid,” said the great psychotherapist Jeanne Segal. Likewise, one could say: “We are not stupid…”.

Our critical awareness of the experiencing of fear today is where our critical awareness of sex was a 150 years ago. Sexology emerged as well as sex education to study and improve our awareness of sexuality in depth.

Analogously, fearology and fear education are required today because of the potency by which fear, in all its various forms, individually and collectively, has proven itself to be likely the most important factor, if not taboo, shaping human behavior.

TFC is dedicated to advancing the education, management, healing and transformation of the toxic forms of fear. This intervention aims at legitimizing that fearuality needs to be developed in healthy ways, just like our sexuality—just like our creativity. And with such maturation, our fearuality will be our greatest strength, morally and otherwise, to keep us on the path of fearlessness, nonviolence, strong democracy and freedom. TFC conducts research, designs and develops curriculum for this liberation agenda. Founded in 2018, TFC is partnering with Apocatastasis Institute to assist in “holding the center” of a core of the best philosophies, theories, leadership and practices that act to create a saner and life-sustainable future for humanity and surrounding environments.
